Sometimes it's hard to have a response to things that others present to you as "evidence" of other belief systems. A really good general resource is answersingenesis.org/

I am aware of lots of bad apologetic resources. There is reason to be cautious with anything you read purporting to answer others belief systems. If one can find it a good resource introducing your religion to another is best. I prefer to focus on sharing rather proving wrong. Some apologetics is find and i have had stacks of the stuff i have read. I have books on my Kindle library written on the topic. It is same trivia written by different authors.
One type of book i enjoy helps me with my doubts and questions. If I Really Believe Why Do i Have These Doubts by Dr. Lynn Anderson i only have on Kindle now.
Allister E. McGrath is a great Evangelical scholar presenting Christian doctrine as he understands it.
The truth of creation does not stand or fall on the truth of a resource. The resource might be playing fast and loose with facts to make its points. Some reject creation science as they think that. I like the Bibles creation story whatever the answwers are.
