Hi! Folks I'm looking for some advice ever since seeing Codys Benchmade 940 I knew I had to have one but feel the serrated versiin of the blade would be much more versatile albit harder to sharpen? Its such a strong and well built knife but I am still unsure for the money which version to go with if anyone knows of any comparison videos or anyone who maybe has both version's if you could advise me in anyway I'd be truly grateful thanks

Regarding serrated knives in general and whether to use one vs the other. I'm generally not a fan of serrated knives although I know there are uses for them. But since they are intended for completely different applications, maybe come at your decision from that perspective. What will you be cutting? What benefit will the serrations provide? Serrated knives are a bit of a pain to sharpen. Some sharpeners will tell you not to bother sharpening a serrated knife - just buff off the burrs. But they can be sharpened. So - that's my 1.5 cents.
